A modular seated riser system that combines multiple height options, lightweight aluminum construction, secure platform connections, and configurable deck surfaces for orchestra, band, choral, and other staged ensemble applications.
The ALGES Orchestra / Band Riser system provides a configurable platform for creating elevated ensemble arrangements in performing arts facilities, schools, churches, and other performance environments. Available in four standard heights, with custom heights also available, the system can be adapted to different stage layouts and ensemble requirements. Solid 3/4″ (19mm) plywood decks are supported by aircraft-grade aluminum extrusion frames and legs, while quick-locking leg connections and unit-to-unit connectors simplify setup. With options for an anti-slip phenolic surface or grey carpet, the system can also be specified according to the functional and visual requirements of the venue.

Choose from 8″ (20cm), 16″ (41cm), 24″ (61cm), and 32″ (81cm) heights to create tiered arrangements for different ensemble configurations. Custom riser heights are also available.
Each riser uses a lightweight deck constructed from solid 3/4″ (19mm) plywood, providing the primary platform surface while keeping the individual components practical for setup.
The frames and legs are fabricated from aircraft-grade aluminum extrusion with a clear anodized finish, creating the structural framework for the riser system.
Legs lock into their sockets through a simple rotation of the knobs, allowing platforms to be assembled and adjusted efficiently during setup.
Unit-to-unit connectors are designed to lock individual riser units together, helping create a unified platform from multiple sections.
The system offers two surface configurations. Choose a 3/4″ (19mm) plywood deck with a black phenolic anti-slip surface or a grey carpeted option using 3/4″ (19mm) plywood with 15/64″ (5.8mm) carpet.
The carpet option is made from 80% polypropylene and 20% polyester fine ribbed cord carpet, providing a finished surface for venues selecting a carpeted configuration.
The stage loading rate is 154 lbs/ft² (750 kg/m²), with the loading rate meeting or exceeding building code requirements as specified by ALGES.
Non-marking glides help protect the floor surface beneath the risers while platforms are positioned within the performance space.
